Estos nuevos cargos -muy habituales en las agencias de publicidad y marketing- se insertan en los departamentos de marketing de empresas de consumo masivo a medida que el marketing gana protagonismo en la web.&lt;br /&gt;Aquellas compañías con más gimnasia de inversión publicitaria son las primeras en incorporar estos roles conocidos como Digital Marketer, director de Medios Digitales o director de Social Media. "Más allá de su designación, lo importante es que cumpla una función con causa, porque muchas veces su ocupación está más ligada a la ejecución que a una decisión estratégica", dice Javier Cami, presidente del capítulo de Agencias Digitales de la Asociación de Marketing Directo e Interactivo de Argentina (AMDIA) y directivo de E-volution. Según Cami, esto ocurre sobre todo en las empresas que no dejan de sintonizar con el esquema tradicional de comunicación. Sucede que las estrategias digitales demandan un know-how específico, diferente al convencional. Desconocer esto puede provocar que la inversión de una marca aplicada a la web caiga en saco roto. "Muchas veces se usa el concepto de incorporar una pata digital al marketing cuando lo digital, en realidad, no debería ser una apoyatura sino una cuestión integral", reflexiona Cami.&lt;br /&gt;Casos&lt;br /&gt;General Motors Argentina tiene un área digital que depende del departamento de marketing. En la automotriz, el avance de la especialidad fue gradual. "Se trata de un cambio cultural importante, que en muchos casos depende de la consideración que le va dando una dirección o una gerencia comercial", dice Pablo Ramos Tejera, gerente de Marketing de Chevrolet y Suzuki. Y agrega: "Más allá de esto, es clave estar informado de los beneficios de&lt;br /&gt;la utilización del marketing digital, tanto para el cumplimiento de los objetivos de marketing, como para la optimización del presupuesto".&lt;br /&gt;En Unilever, en cambio, el rol fue creado hace tres años junto a un departamento que busca dar soporte de medios a los equipos de marketing encargados del desarrollo de la comunicación de las marcas. "Es una especialidad que está marcando los nuevos paradigmas de la industria. Social Media es un componente fundamental; su tarea implica el desarrollo de un conjunto de acciones en dispositivos móviles, plataformas web y espacios de contenido", señala Víctor Fernández Lahore, Communications Planner Director para Unilever Latinoamérica y encargado de todo el soporte en planificación de Comunicación y Social Media para el portfolio de marcas en la región. El área surgió como una extensión del departamento de Medios, donde Marketing funciona como un cliente interno. "Ellos son quienes definen qué y a quién comunicar; nosotros ayudamos en el dónde y en el cómo. Es difícil pensar hoy la creatividad en forma independiente del medio. El cómo utilizar los medios digitales hoy puede ser parte misma de la idea", agrega.&lt;br /&gt;Distinto es el caso de Nokia, donde el responsable de medios digitales depende directamente del departamento de Marketing. El puesto surgió hace un año y medio y coincide con una transformación de la compañía en busca de brindar soluciones digitales a medida del consumidor. "A la hora de comprar una solución tecnológica, el usuario no espera una campaña tradicional para decidir su compra. Se informa por Internet y, para eso, hay que aplicar una estrategia digital", explica a TARGET Juan Romero, Activating Marketing Manager de Nokia.&lt;br /&gt;En efecto, el área interactiva también ayuda a las marcas a expandir y dar continuidad a sus mensajes. "A medida que todos los medios se digitalizan, éstos pasan a ser la única alternativa; se convierten en una decisión estratégica para el crecimiento del negocio en el mercado de la publicidad y de los negocios", analiza Mariano Bosaz, manager de Marketing Interactivo de Coca-Cola de Argentina.&lt;br /&gt;Ejecutivo, se busca Uno de los errores más comunes en la designación de estos nuevos perfiles es nombrar a jóvenes con amplitud en el manejo de herramientas digitales, pero que recién comienzan su vida laboral. "Los digital marketers tienen que tener un perfil seniora semi-senior, ser capaces de entender las problemáticas de comunicación de marcas y de comprender las dinámicas digitales. Pero sobre todo, deben tener en claro que el paradigma cambió", subraya Cami, de la AMDIA. Otra falla habitual radica en la designación de un perfil 100 por ciento técnico y sin background comercial. El área requiere de especialistas con un expertise en marketing y una comprensión técnica del funcionamiento de los nuevos medios. "El marketing digital debe ser parte de una estrategia más general, con una marcada orientación al cliente y a la satisfacción de sus necesidades, donde el ejecutivo tenga la capacidad de interactuar con sus pares de Marketing tradicional", coinciden todos los expertos. La nueva tarea de estos ejecutivos necesita de un conocimiento especial: saber qué mirar, cómo mirar, dónde probar y cómo invertir.&lt;br /&gt;Así, el paradigma de hoy plantea el desafío de migrar a los puestos más jerárquicos de las compañías hacia el mundo digital, los cuales cuentan naturalmente con menor experiencia en la utilización de esta plataforma. A pesar del gap todavía existente por falta de un conocimiento profundo, el avance no es menor. Se trata de un gran paso en donde las empresas empiezan a reconocer la necesidad de incrementar conocimientos digitales. Para contrarrestar ese desfasaje, que se produce naturalmente por temas generacionales o por la experiencia y hábitos de estas nuevas plataformas, es importante estimular el aprendizaje con Looking at it, you forget that this is a Windows Mobile PDA-phone because, very often, the products in that category are pretty clunky. I'm not sure where that leaves Apple now.  The iPhone name is worth a lot of money in terms of buzz and Internet exposure and I think that Cisco know this and they are unwilling to give it up too easily.  And why should they?  Months of rumors and speculation have made it a high-profile brand.  Apple's got a lot of cash but Cisco has more so things could become entrenched. Adbrite has created an embeddable video player similar to YouTube, Photobucket, etc. (see video below using their player). If we choose to show a video on TechCrunch, we can use this embeddable player, and at our option it will include Adbrite ads and our logo as a watermark. Anyone who takes the content and embeds it on their own site will show the same video, with the same ads and watermark (revenue goes to the original video creator). What he’s basically saying is that a Mac Tablet is almost out of the question while the Apple Phone is almost 99% certain.&lt;br/&gt; &lt;a id="more-3365"/&gt;&lt;br/&gt; Now, as we all know, even the best prognosticators are often horribly wrong. However, let’s talk to the wisdom of the crowds. Inkling is offering a &lt;a href="http://home.inklingmarkets.com/market/show/2531"&gt;75% chance&lt;/a&gt; in the prediction markets. CrowdIQ, a similar system, is saying &lt;a href="http://www.crowdiq.com/opex/contractinfodisplay.do?contractid=432"&gt;1%&lt;/a&gt;, which is what I’m going with as well. However, Sobotta gives me pause. The report, “Deadline With Destiny,” is based on analysis of national industry data. The report predicts the decline of paid circulation revenue for print newspapers will speed up as 18-to-39-year-olds continue to migrate online.
